Rhymes, rhythm and a little stage show

Rhyme Time takes place on a bright stage with speakers and spotlights. Music keeps a steady beat, and in every bar the game shows a clue word, such as cat, plus three word cards. One of the cards rhymes with the clue. Your job is to spot it and type it, which trains spelling and listening for sounds at the same time.

How to play Rhyme Time

Read the clue word, look at the three cards, and type the word that rhymes. If you finish it on the beat you earn a bonus. Typing a card that does not rhyme, or letting the bar run out, costs you a heart. Stray key presses are only counted as mistakes and never block you, so you can always carry on. The game has sound, and the sound starts as soon as you begin. Esc pauses the game and the music waits.

Hearts and bonuses

You have three hearts. Lose all three and the show is over. Each bar gives you a limited time to choose, so you must read quickly but not carelessly. If you stop typing, the bars run out one after another and the hearts are used up, so the game always ends.
