Zombie Word Attack
Silly cartoon zombies shuffle toward your garden fence. Type their words to send them packing before they get close.
Controls
Type the word on a zombie's sign to defeat it. Backspace fixes a wrong letter. Esc pauses the game.
Keep the garden safe
Zombie Word Attack is a goofy, kid-friendly defense game. Cartoon zombies in mismatched socks shuffle across a sunny garden toward your fence, each holding a sign with a word on it. Type the word and the zombie pops into a cloud of confetti and disappears. No scary visuals, just silly fun.
How to play Zombie Word Attack
Watch the zombies and type the word on the nearest one. When you finish the word, a flowerpot launches from your garden and sends the zombie flying. If a zombie reaches the fence, it knocks off one board, and when all the boards are gone the round ends. Backspace fixes mistyped letters.
Waves of zombies
Each wave brings more zombies and a few new types. Slow zombies carry short words, while tall ones carry longer ones. Some arrive in pairs, so you must decide quickly which to tackle first. Between waves you can pick a power-up, such as a fence repair, so you have a bit of strategy on top of the typing.
Skills you will build
- Fast target switching between several words.
- Staying accurate when the screen feels busy.
- Typing a word of any length without hesitation.
- Making quick decisions under mild pressure.
For teachers and parents
The tone is humorous rather than frightening, which makes it popular with older children. If a player finds the pace stressful, pause with Esc and take a break. A measured result from the typing test shows whether the game is helping.

A quick tip
Finish the word you started before switching. Jumping between zombies leaves several words half typed, which is slower than clearing them one by one.
