Falling Letters
Letters drift down the screen one at a time. Press each key before it lands to learn where every letter lives.
Controls
Press the key that matches the falling letter. Choose a letter set before each round. Esc pauses the game.
One letter at a time
Falling Letters is a slow, simple game for people who are just starting to type. A single letter slides down the screen, and you press the matching key before it reaches the bottom. Because there are no full words yet, you can focus on one thing only: finding the right key.
How to play Falling Letters
Each letter falls at an easy pace. Press its key and it vanishes in a small sparkle. If it reaches the bottom, it just bounces away and you try the next one. The speed starts very low, and it only rises after you hit several letters in a row, so the game adapts to you rather than rushing you.
Choose your letters
Before each round you pick a set of letters to practice, such as the home row, the top row or the whole alphabet. Practicing a small set builds finger memory quickly. When a set feels automatic, add another row. The on-screen keyboard shows which finger should press the key, which helps you build good habits from day one.
Skills you will build
- Knowing which finger belongs to which key.
- Reacting to a letter without hunting across the keyboard.
- Keeping your hands in the right starting position.
- Moving gradually toward typing real words.
For teachers and parents
This game pairs well with the lessons in Learn to Type, which explain finger placement step by step. Short, daily sessions work better than one long one. When letters feel easy, step up to words in Word Rain or check your pace with the typing test.

A quick tip
Try to press each key with the finger shown on the keyboard, even when a different finger feels easier. It feels slow for a few days, then pays off for years.
